The requirements:
At first glance, a true Italian espresso has a hazelnut-brown to dark brown crema with a very fine texture (no large pores and no large or small bubbles). The espresso has an intense aroma with notes of flowers, fruit, toasted bread, and chocolate. All these flavor notes linger long after the first sip. Its taste is well-rounded, robust, and velvety. Acidity and bitterness are well-balanced, with neither overpowering the other.
Trucillo Gran Caffè is a quintessential Italian espresso. A balanced blend of the world's finest Arabica and Robusta beans, the goal is to bring out the best qualities of each bean variety. For Gran Caffè, raw beans from Brazil, Nicaragua, and Ethiopia are used. After careful selection, the beans are roasted for an extended period at a medium temperature in a drum roaster. This long, gentle roasting process prevents overheating and allows the beans to develop their most wonderful aromas. The result is Gran Caffè with an aromatic intensity, delicate notes of vanilla and roasted almonds, and a fragrance of fresh fruit and flowers.
The Robusta content ensures an excellent hazelnut-brown crema with a velvety consistency. A sip of this masterpiece is smooth and described by espresso connoisseurs as pleasantly rounded.
