Filicori Zecchini filter coffee - Felsina
64g ground filter coffee
Blend ratio: 100% Arabica beans
The Filicori Zecchini coffee roastery was founded in Bologna in 1919 by two friends Aldo Filicori and Luigi Zecchini Founded in 1968, Filicori remains a family business, now in its third generation. And Filicori stays true to this long tradition. Only the most exclusive beans are refined through traditional, typical Italian roasting, resulting in the finest coffees. The beans are roasted separately and gently in a rotating drum and then cooled in the open air. This is how first-class coffee is created!
Filicori's Felsina is a strong and full-bodied coffee. Bittersweet aromas of chocolate, hints of spicy clove, and delicate citrus notes create a unique taste experience. Felsina also impresses with its low to medium acidity and a caramelized, rich body. It's not every day you encounter a filter coffee with so much aroma and depth.
To ensure these wonderful aromas are preserved for longer, this filter coffee is vacuum-packed in small portions. The 64g pack is ideal for holidays, as a gift, or simply for enjoying at home. One pack makes approximately 1.5 liters of coffee.
"ready to brew" - true to this motto, with the 64g Felsina portion there are no opened bags and no loss of aroma - from the pack directly into the filter.
What is a single origin coffee?
A single origin is a coffee variety that comes from a specific geographical location, from which it usually takes its name. Each single origin has unique organoleptic properties related to the particular characteristics of the soil and climate. These diverse characteristics are combined in a sophisticated blend. This is precisely the art that makes a blend so incredibly complex and balanced. The aromas and nuances complement each other, bringing out the best notes and engaging all the taste buds in harmonious accord. For a coffee connoisseur, a single origin is the equivalent of a grape's terroir, which a wine connoisseur appreciates.
Guatemala This is a single-origin Bourbon coffee, grown in the Fraijanes-Santa Rosa region at an altitude of 1200-1600 meters. It is a washed and sun-dried coffee with a light fruity note, a robust flavor, and a good body. A finish of cocoa and tobacco makes it very pleasant on the palate.
Brazil Brazil is known worldwide as one of the most distinguished and dedicated coffee-growing countries. This Arabica coffee comes from one of the world's most renowned growing regions for Arabica beans – Santos, Brazil. The natural, sun-dried processing method makes it exceptionally smooth and balanced. The flavor is long-lasting and delicate with a strong note of bitter almonds.
Chiapas Single Origin beans come from the southeastern Mexican state of Chiapas – one of the most biodiverse regions in the world. High mountains provide ideal growing conditions for top-quality green coffee. Light notes of cocoa and a subtle aroma of fresh tobacco make this bean so distinctive. The finish offers hints of raw sugar and cinnamon on the palate.
The bean picture
These three varieties are processed separately and according to individual roasting profiles. This ensures that the optimal flavor is achieved. The roast level varies from medium to dark. This results in a varying appearance of the beans, ranging from brown to dark brown. The fine sheen on some beans indicates a long, dark roast, as the coffee oil rises to the surface. This long roasting process results in a low-acid coffee without bitter substances.
