Florio Espresso from Cafés Richard
100% Arabica beans
Here we present our first French espresso from the traditional roastery Cafés Richard. We discovered the exquisite Caffé Florio blend during a stay in Paris at a small but excellent Italian restaurant. We enjoyed the espresso so much that upon returning to Hamburg, we contacted the roastery directly. Only then did we learn about the long history and tradition behind Cafés Richard.
The renowned "Maison Richard" (Richard's House) was founded in 1892 by Auguste and Pierre Fayel. Their cousin, Henri Richard, soon acquired the business and, together with his son André, transformed it from a wine merchant into a dedicated coffee roastery. Their enduring passion for coffee and their commitment to roasting the perfect bean drove the Richard family to continually create new blends. The meticulous roasting process and the close, personal collaboration with their coffee farmers worldwide have contributed to Café Richard's success. But it wasn't just their rich history that impressed us; it was the fact that they roast what we consider the best espresso in all of France.
Our absolute favorite is the Florio Espresso. It not only boasts distinctive packaging but also an unmistakable flavor profile. Florio is the only espresso in our range roasted using the classic Italian method. This, among other things, ensures that this espresso is pleasantly low in acidity. The blend consists of 100% hand-picked Arabica beans from Central Asia. &South America and Africa. These beans are naturally very mild in flavor, but the typical Italian espresso roast gives them a robust note. For us, the perfect blend for discerning palates. Sweet and with gentle notes of dark chocolate, Florio is sure to delight any espresso lover. Despite its mildness, the aromas are intense and refined. The finish is captivating with hints of toasted bread and even a touch of caramel and licorice.
Cafés Richard is also the first French coffee roaster to be awarded the " labelCSR Commitment Europe" as well as the "AFNOR Label of Responsibility"was awarded. These associations recognize selected companies that take on social responsibility in their environment and stand out very positively through their fair dealings with customers, employees, trading partners and also coffee farmers.
