La Torretta is a classic Italian espresso from Oro Caffe. This Northern Italian coffee delivers full, intense aromas and yet a smooth creaminess to the cup. Only the finest green coffees are selected for the subsequent roasting process. At Oro Caffe, this is still the exclusive domain of the master roaster. Only an eye trained over decades can distinguish inferior from high-quality green beans in a very short time, as well as blend the individual flavors into a fabulous ensemble. The coffee beans are roasted separately, variety by variety, in a drum roaster. This is crucial because each type of bean has its own specific requirements. Some need more time and higher temperatures, while others require less time and lower temperatures. Only in this way can it be ensured that each variety develops its maximum aroma and flavor.
The finished beans are then blended to create the secret La Torretta blend. The result is a robust espresso with spicy notes of hazelnut and dark chocolate. Thanks to the high Robusta content and the special roasting process, this espresso has virtually no acidity. This makes it very pleasant to drink despite its strong flavor.
