La Torretta is a classic Italian coffee from Oro Caffè. This coffee from northern Italy offers full and intense aromas, but also a delicate smoothness in the cup.
Only the best raw beans are selected for roasting. At Oro Caffè, this is a task that is reserved exclusively for the top manager. After all, only a trained eye with decades of experience can distinguish at first glance between low and high quality beans. With experience, the individual flavours of each variety can be used to achieve a fabulous overall result. The coffee beans are gently and separately processed, variety by variety, in a rotary drum roaster. This is important since each type of bean has its own characteristics and therefore requires individual and adapted processing. Some need a short time and high temperatures, others need a longer roasting time and low temperatures. This allows each variety to develop its best flavours and character. After that, the optimally roasted varieties are combined according to a secret recipe to finally create the La Torretta blend.
This creates a full-bodied coffee with spicy notes of roasted hazelnut, pipe tobacco and dark chocolate. Thanks to the high Robusta percentage and the special roasting process, this coffee has practically no acidity. It is therefore very pleasant to drink despite its pronounced taste. Another advantage of Robusta beans is their creaminess. Tinged with brown, it crowns the espresso in a thick and velvety way.
On the palate, La Torretta is incredibly creamy and a slight sweetness completes the pleasure. This Oro Caffè classic is the result of over 30 years of experience in selection and roasting.
