This espresso coffee has been roasted in Milan since 1930.

The original coffee recipe comes from the founder of the roastery - Mr. Giovanni Eftimiades - Mr. Efti. He came from Italy and opened a small coffee shop in Berlin in the 1920s.

As not uncommon at that time, he roasted his very own mixture for the coffee. It's easy to imagine that Mr. Efti was already influenced by Italian coffee culture back then. The name part MOKA is in any case an indication of his preference. The Greek with an Italian passport was quickly extremely successful. His coffee was soon literally on everyone's lips in Berlin. Not least because of his expansion, because with the help of English investors he opened the largest and most popular coffee house in the city at the time - the legendary Moka Efti in Friedrichstrasse. This is followed by the equally popular Moka Efti at the "Tiergarten".

Look forward to a mild espresso made from exquisite Arabica beans. Delicate aromas with a wide spectrum unfold on the palate, which can also be felt in the aftertaste for a long time.

For over 80 years, the roasting plant has preserved the tradition of Mr. Efti and we are delighted that we can now offer this coffee again to our customers.
