The Funicolare tasting set is inspired by Naples' "Funicolare di Chiaia." The funicular connects the districts of Vomero and Chiaia. This set also combines different espresso roasts, reflecting the variety and unmistakable flavor of Neapolitan coffee in every cup. 

Toraldo Linea Bluette No. 40

60% Arabica - 40% Robusta

A voluminous coffee with very low acid content, outstanding crema and high caffeine content. A truly gentle giant.

Toraldo Bluette No. 40 contains 60% Arabica coffee beans from Central America and Africa while the other 40% are Indonesian Robusta coffee beans.

The beans are roasted according to the Neapolitan tradition. That means long roasting times and dark, slightly oily espresso beans, which has a fruity sweet taste.

This blend has a rather large fanbase in the sophisticated dining scene. The large Robusta share provides expression and strength although it must be emphasized time and again, how soft this espresso presents itself. A fantastic espresso with outstanding crema.

Bluette is perfectly suitable for espresso as well as for all specialties with hot milk.

Passaparola Voce

40% Arabica - 60% Robusta

The Passaparola Espresso Voce – "the voice" – captures the true spirit of the bustling streets of Naples, where every moment tells its own story. This special blend reveals a strong, distinctive profile, enticing with a harmonious combination of dark chocolate, brown sugar, walnut, and a hint of bourbon vanilla. A subtle, fresh citrus note in the background adds a surprising liveliness that perfectly complements the coffee's depth.

The Voce beans are roasted dark in the Neapolitan style, producing an intense and full-bodied aroma. With its low acidity and particularly dense hazelnut-colored crema, the Voce brings the essence of Southern Italy directly to your cup, allowing you to feel the vibrancy of the Neapolitan streets.

The Pezzullo roaster was founded in 1947 in Naples by Francesco Pezzullo and is now run by the third generation. Caffè Pezzullo roasts classic Neapolitan blends - dark, slightly bright beans with a high proportion of Robusta beans.

This is how we like Naples! A dark crema, a powerful aroma and a delicious lingering aftertaste.

The first sip of this espresso reveals a slight sweetness, then an exceptional richness due to the high proportion of Robusta beans. As you discover different aromas at the end of the tasting, the memory of the overall creamy and round impression is consolidated. Low acidity guaranteed!
