The Filicori Zecchini coffee roastery was founded in Bologna in 1919 by two friends, Aldo Filicori and Luigi Zecchini. Today, the company is still family-owned and is now in its third generation. To this day, the family remains true to the tradition of classic Italian roasting – the beans are roasted separately, gently, and slowly in a rotating drum and then cooled in the open air.

The beans for Filicori Zecchini's Kavè Blend are medium-dark roasted and exude a rich, chocolatey aroma. These same notes are reflected in the taste – chocolate and hazelnut paired with a full body. The 10% Robusta bean content gives the espresso a rich crema that is velvety and subtly tiger-striped.

In 2014, Espresso Kavè was awarded a prize at the international coffee tasting by Institute of Coffee Tasting awarded the gold medal.

Thanks to its outstanding quality, the Filicori Zecchini Kavé Espresso has been certified as an Italian Espresso by the INEI (Instituto Nazionale Espresso Italiano). The institute has been protecting and promoting authentic espresso since 1998.
