ESE Cortese Lungo coffee pods are packed by hand, as pod machines are usually designed for automated individual packaging with plastic. However, this meticulous work is the only way to completely avoid plastic and aluminium packaging in the production process. As a result, Cortese uses 65% less plastic. The ESE pods used are compostable and eco-friendly. Only the bag is made of plastic and can be recycled in the appropriate bin.
These pods are perfect for a long drink. The long version of espresso is obtained by grinding the beans more coarsely. This guarantees a full aroma and therefore does not release any bitter substances due to the longer extraction process. On the palate it is full-bodied, very balanced and harmonious.
