Coffee that comes directly from a Fairtrade cooperative is traceable. Individual coffee beans are treated separately from 'non-fair trade' coffee beans at each stage of production.

Why should you buy fair trade coffee too?

Fairtrade coffee & espresso is:

1. More sustainable - Socially, environmentally and economically. It uses water as a resource responsibly and produces as little waste as possible.
2. fair trade coffee helps smallholder coffee farmers to get a fair payment and provides them with social security. The farmers receive guaranteed prices so that they are not exposed to the large fluctuations of the world market. This enables the education of children and reduces child labor, which is unfortunately still far too common.
3. fair trade coffee is not polluted, as various pesticides are prohibited in cultivation. Employees are trained in environmental protection.
